NFC Champions play basketball game to raise funds for AIDS in Africa
Current NFL and NHL stars and former MLB and NBA stars as well as local media representatives will join team captains Larry Fitzgerald and Kurt Warner in a benefit basketball game to raise funds for HIV/AIDS relief in Malawi, Africa. The Assist4Africa Celebrity Basketball Game, presented by Lawns by Les, will take place at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 19th, at the US Airways Center
Joining Larry Fitzgerald and Kurt Warner will be a host of other current NFL and NHL players, former NBA and MLB players plus local radio and television celebrities.  Those confirmed are:  (**Celebrities are confirmed, but we cannot guarantee their participation**) Steve Breaston, Early Doucet, Mike Adams, Terrell Suggs, Dan Majerle, Tom Chambers, Eddie Johnson, Mark West, Cedric Ceballos, Royce Clayton, Quinton McCracken, Daniel Winnik, Keith Yandle, Tyson Nash, FOX 10's Jude La Cava, FOX 10's Troy Hayden, KTAR's Mark Asher and Darrell Ankarlo, Suns Broadcasters Tom Leander and Kevin Ray.
Tickets are just $15.00 for adult general admission with reserved courtside seating starting at $30.00.  Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets may also be purchased at any Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant.  
In addition, fans have the opportunity to participate in an eBay auction for a spot as an honorary coach or a playing spot on Team Warner or Team Fitzgerald. Auctions began April 10th and end April 17th.  Links are available at www.Assist4Africa.com. 
The Assist4Africa Celebrity Basketball Game is raising money for Partners in Hope Medical Center in Malawi, Central Africa. Dr. Perry Jansen, the medical director of this groundbreaking AIDS clinic, is the brother of Fox 10 sportscaster Gayle Jansen. Dr. Jansen and his family have lived in Malawi for ten years. In 2006, he expanded his ability to treat HIV/AIDS patients by purchasing and remodeling a 40,000 square foot former factory and is currently treating more than 3,000 patients per month.
This is the third time for this event and it promises to be the best one ever.
Assist4Africa is presented by Lawns by Les LLC. Other sponsors include: Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurants, Fletcher’s Tires, Tru-Seven, The Market Builder, Inc. and City of Grace Church 
Partners in Malawi is a non-profit organization created to promote awareness of those suffering with HIV/AIDS in Malawi, Africa. Partners in Malawi seeks to:
Extend the lifespan of those already infected with HIV/AIDS and encourage efforts to allow their lives to be productive and meaningful;
Establish preventative programs to promote behavioral change among the people of Malawi, particularly young men and women, to halt the spread of the disease;
Dramatically increase the availability of prenatal and postnatal medications to reduce the number of infants born and living with HIV;
Enable and encourage Dr. Perry Jansen and those who work with him;
Impact the country of Malawi as a whole, improving the lives of its people by expanding their access to medical, spiritual and emotional care.
